Societal Implications and Applications
Dynamics has many applications. Civil engineering is perhaps the most common one. Application of tensional/compressional forces occur constantly within structures. Buildings are also subjected to forces caused by wind. Car and airplane designs revolve around air resistance as well as frictional forces. Air resistance even extends into space rocket design. Crime/Accident scene analysis and reconstruction also involves applications of dynamics.

Throughout the world, there are been many systematic residential and commercial structural failures due to natural disasters. However, there have also been many structural failure that have occurred due to lack of proper planning from the structural engineers. There are civil engineers out there that will complete a job quickly and cheaply but are not designed correctly which leads to structural failure with time and/or other problems. This is especially true in less wealthy economies. Social justice needs to be focused on greater in communities where this kind of behaviour is present. Only great natural disasters should be responsible for structural failure and it should be structural engineers goal to limit these as much as possible.
