Activity 3: Experiment on the relationship between kinetic energy of an object and its velocity
The teacher can pose the question which ball will arrive faster at the end of the track when two identical balls were sliding down along one straight track while the other curved track.

Lab: Conservation of Mechanical Energy & Efficiency of a System
The following lab was created by Evan Norris (2013) and modified by Hye Son (2014) as PASCO Capstone and photogate was added.
Station setup
Step 1: Set up the computer with PASCO Capstone and assemble in order of photogate, cable, channel 1 on digital adapter, USB link to the computer. Step 2: Set up a ramp and raise one side to a certain height and put a piece of tape on the other end of the ramp to protect the desk surface from the sharp edges of the metal ramp. Step 6: Open
